Scottie Scheffler would withdraw from Masters and 'be out of here' if wife goes into labor

Scottie Scheffler's sister Sara caddied for him Wednesday, as his wife is home waiting for their first child to be born.

When asked by the broadcast if he would withdraw from the tournament should his wife go into labor early, Scheffler responded: "I'll be out of here."

"I think first child wins over quite a... over many things in my life," Scheffler said mid-put during the Par 3 contest.

Scheffler, the 2022 Masters champion and favorite for the 2024 tournament, is expecting his first child with his wife Meredith in the next few weeks. Meredith was unable to make the trip to Augusta, according to Scheffler.

"Meredith is resting up, we're a few weeks away," Scheffler said. "We could not get the OK from the doctor."
