Drew Little named to Patrick Mannelly Award watch list

Long snapper Drew Little is earning some recognition ahead of the 2022 regular season.

On Monday, Little was one of the players named to the Patrick Mannelly Award watch list which honors the best long snappers in all of college football. The senior is a Richfield, North Carolina native and has been UNC’s snapper for three seasons.

The award is handed out at the end of the season to the best long snapper and will also be updated throughout the year with a mid-season list, semifinalists, and finalists before the winner is announced.

The award was founded in 2019 by Patrick Mannelly, Chris Rubio, and Kevin Gold. It’s named after Mannelly who played his college ball at Duke before playing in the NFL with the Chicago Bears.
