Donald Trump: Mar-a-Lago will ‘never be the same’ after FBI wore shoes in bedroom during search

Former President Donald Trump raged on social media Monday morning that FBI agents searching his Florida estate for top secret documents with possible national security implications didn’t first take off their shoes.
“Arrived in Florida last night and had a long and detailed chance to check out the scene of yet another government ‘crime,’ the FBI’s Raid and Break-In of my home, Mar-a-Lago,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.

Federal agents arrived at Trump’s Palm Springs, Fla., home on Aug. 8 with a warrant to retrieve classified information the Justice Department doesn’t believe should have left the White House when the 45th president left office.
In his Monday missive, Trump alleged the FBI violated his Fourth Amendment rights prohibiting “unreasonable” searches and seizures. A Florida federal magistrate judge approved the search of Trump’s home while he was in New Jersey.

“In any event, after what they have done, the place will never be the same,” Trump continued, claiming the domicile had been “ransacked” by “many” law enforcement officials.
“And they didn’t even take off their shoes in my bedroom,” he concluded. “Nice!!”
It’s unclear if that claim is true.
Prior to that message, Trump ranted about the FBI search as he prepared to return to his primary residence in the Sunshine State.
A Trump-appointed judge surprised many legal experts earlier this month by granting his request to allow a special master review materials seized by federal agents. The Justice Department argued that decision, which will slow the investigation, was unnecessary.
Trump, 76, has long been labeled a germaphobe.
According to Politico, several people close to the former president shared their stories of Trump’s disdain for coughing, sneezing or other behaviors that spread germs. He also has an aversion to shaking hands for that reason, that 2019 report said.
