Dick’s Sporting Goods to add 300 jobs in Fort Worth with new distribution facility
Dick’s Sporting Goods will be building a new 800,000-square-foot distribution facility in south Fort Worth.
The project is expected to add over 300 full-time jobs over the next 10 years.
The facility will support over 100 stores in Texas and surrounding states. The Pittsburgh-based retailer has 15 stores in the Metroplex.
The distribution center is slated for a 89.5-acre site in the Risinger/35 Logistics Park development.
The project will be developed and built by Hillwood, the developer of AllianceTexas. Hillwood expects construction to create over 800 temporary construction jobs.
Ground will break on the facility this fall, and it is scheduled to open in early 2026.
The new facility will focus on sustainability by using recycled construction materials, high-efficiency lighting and energy management systems.
“This facility will support the rapid growth of our business, including in the state of Texas, and enable more efficient and effective flow of product to athletes whether they shop in-store or online,” said DICK’S senior vice president of supply chain, Sean Whitehouse. “We’re also excited to play an active role in the Fort Worth community.”
