Designs have been finalised for a major rejuvenation of Pier Gardens in Cleethorpes.

Specific zoned areas, including water play, terraced play features, a flexible event space and a quieter area, have been designed by landscape architects.

Main contractors are now being asked to give their views on the scheme - part of a wider £18.4m regeneration of Cleethorpes - ahead of full tenders being chosen for large contracts.

Businesses can look at the detail of the project and comment through an online questionnaire and an event taking place on 12 September at The Knoll.

Following public feedback, areas for both children and adults' social activities and an area for pop-up events were favoured to be incorporated.

Feedback gathered also showed that people wanted to make sure the gardens had improved lighting.

Officers will look at responses from contractors before details are finalised and the main tender is selected for the work of principal contractor.

That is expected to be done later this year.
