A Columbia Wild Wing Cafe restaurant has closed its doors for good

There is now one less restaurant in Columbia’s Village at Sandhill shopping center.

Wild Wing Cafe, located at 480 Town Center Place in the shopping district in northeast Columbia, announced over the weekend on social media that it was closing. It also noted that the chain’s downtown Columbia location remains open.

“Thanks for the great times and memories over the years!” the business posted on Facebook. “We’re still serving Hot Wings, Cold Beer, & Good Times at the Vista location, we hope to see you there!”

The Wild Wing Cafe in Columbia’s Vista is located at 729 Lady St.

A Google entry for the Sandhill Wild Wing Cafe notes it as “permanently closed.” The Sandhill spot also is no longer listed on the location finder on Wild Wing’s website.

The closure of the Wild Wing Cafe in northeast Columbia buzzed around social media over the weekend. As of Monday morning, its closing message had been shared more than 440 times on Facebook.

Wild Wing Cafe has locations in seven states, according to its website, including 10 locations across South Carolina. The chain is known, of course, for its chicken wings, but also has a deep roster of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers and more.
