The Green Bay Packers are all in on the 2021 season, acquiring wide receiver Randall Cobb just to keep Aaron Rodgers happy this fall. FS1 TV/radio host Colin Cowherd made his stance on this recent trade very clear this Wednesday.

Cowherd believes this was a mistake by Green Bay. Instead of moving on from the Rodgers era and embracing Jordan Love, the front office has decided to let the reigning MVP make a significant personnel move.

Even though Cobb had plenty of great moments with the Packers, he’s not the same player anymore. That’s something Cowherd addressed during this Wednesday’s edition of The Herd.

“Now this relationship with Aaron and Green Bay is officially weird,” Cowherd said. “This is a really bad personnel move. He’s $10.4 million. That’s a ton for a slot receiver who was a one-time Pro Bowl player seven years ago and since then can’t stay healthy.”

To make a long story short, Cowherd thinks the Packers are making a bad business decision just to put an end to this Rodgers drama.

“They’re making a really bad move, according to what I’m reading this morning, to appease Aaron Rodgers.”

Cobb played in 10 games for the Houston Texans last season. He had 38 receptions for 441 yards and three touchdowns.

The Packers selected a slot receiver in Amari Rodgers this past NFL Draft, but his role with the team may diminish now that Cobb is back in the picture.
