Central Kentucky man out on bond in sex crime case charged with rape in Lexington

A Central Kentucky man out on bond in a 2022 sexual abuse case has been arrested after allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in a separate Lexington incident, according to court documents.

William Young, 25, has been charged with first-degree rape and kidnapping a minor. He was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Fayette County Detention Center.

The incident happened in June. Court documents say Young contacted the juvenile over Snapchat under the account “Ace3Gatti” and used Snapchat’s location settings to track down the victim’s home.

The 15-year-old got into Young’s vehicle and was raped, according to court documents. She told Young she was underage but he continued with the alleged rape.

Approximately a month later the juvenile told the Child Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass she believes she was contacted by Young via a separate Snapchat account, according to court documents. The owner of the separate Snapchat account threatened to rape and kill the juvenile.

Young’s arrest warrant from the case says Georgetown Police is investigating Young for allegedly contacting three juveniles over Snapchat and masturbating in front of them. Young also had sex with one of the victims.

The Georgetown Police Department connected Young at the “Ace3Gatti” Snapchat account, according to court documents. There were multiple reports connected to the account of Young masturbating in front of juveniles.

Young was later interviewed and he confirmed the “Ace3Gatti” Snapchat account belonged to him. Court documents say he denied messaging the 15-year-old and being in the area of the alleged rape.

Flock license plate reading cameras showed Young’s vehicle in the area of the alleged rape when it occurred, according to court documents.

Young is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond, according to court records. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette District Court Friday.

Suspect facing additional sex crime charges from 2022

In March 2022 Young was indicted in Fayette Circuit Court on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of second-degree unlawful imprisonment. Court records say Young posted a $15,000 property bond roughly two months before the indictment was handed down and was released from jail.

Court documents from the 2022 case say Young allegedly picked up two 15-year-old juveniles and offered money in exchange for sexual favors. The juveniles refused but Young masturbated in front of the juveniles.

Young demanded that he get his money back and didn’t allow the juveniles to leave until he received money, according to court documents. The victims were able to escape Young’s vehicle but he chased after the juveniles and broke one of their purses and got away with $40.

Young is scheduled to be in Fayette Circuit Court for a status hearing about the case on Aug. 23, according to court documents.
