It appears that Carson Wentz’s penchant for committing shocking turnovers has followed him from Philadelphia to Indianapolis.

Wentz, who lost a fumble in Week 1, just threw his first interception in a Colts uniform, and he did it in bizarre fashion. The miscue came on 3rd-and-goal from the Rams’ 3.

Wentz tried to throw a shovel pass–and somehow wound up throwing a pick. Rams linebacker Troy Reeder gladly stepped in front of the errant toss and grabbed the first interception of his career.

Despite that drive-ending turnover, the Colts only trail 10-6 at halftime. They are very much in striking distance to win this game.

However, Indianapolis is going to need Wentz to play smarter in the second half. Even with some of the offensive line injuries the Colts are dealing with, expectations are high in Indy.

An 0-2 start would be met with a ton of alarm, considering this is a team that went 11-5 last season and has made the playoffs two of the last three years.
