Tom Brady has been telling Father Time to take a hike for the better part of a decade. But a recent statement from one of his Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates about how he’s playing now is almost scary.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Buccaneers linebacker Devin White declared that Brady already looks more comfortable than last year. He added that he’s seeing “a better Tom Brady.”

The idea of Tom Brady being better than he was last year has to be scary to fans of 31 NFL teams. The man has already won four of the last seven Super Bowls and has missed Conference Championship Weekend only once since 2011.

After the incredible season that Brady had in 2020, particularly in the postseason, people are tired of seeing him hog all of the trophies. 2021 could be a frustrating season for many if Brady is better this season.

Last year, Tom Brady threw for 4,633 yards and 40 touchdowns in the regular season. It was his highest touchdown total since his record-setting 2007 season – but ended differently than that one.

Brady got even hotter in the postseason, completing 59-percent of his passes for 1,061 yards and 10 touchdowns in four playoff games. Three of those touchdowns came in Super Bowl LV.

Brady will be turning 44 years old next week. And unlike other quarterbacks who played into their mid-40s, he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

It may be several more years before Brady starts dropping off (if he doesn’t retire first).
