At only about a month old, BEACHED, a restaurant on North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, is ready to start attracting more locals with its affordable “fast and casual” food and dining experience, according to owner and operator Dylan Ferguson.

“The food here is absolutely delicious,” Ferguson, 25, said. “We add some nice flair to it, like with one of our burgers, the Traffic Jam Burger, we have bacon jam which is on the more sweeter side and it really does add a little extra kick when you’re eating that burger. We also have our signature sweet and spicy banger sauce which is kind of a tomato-based spicy sauce and everybody loves our fried shrimp.”

BEACHED, located at 6108 North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, is right next to 62nd Avenue which will take patrons right to the beach and is golf cart-friendly.

“A lot of people have come to the drive thru with golf carts,” Ferguson said. “This is such a convenient location and with the lifeguard base (nearby), we get a lot of lifeguards all the time. Every Monday, they come in here with their uniform and we give them 20% off just because we want to give back to the community.”

This local eatery ensures that its bread is “always fresh, always yummy, nice and soft,” Ferguson said. “We get it delivered daily by Benjamin’s Bakery. That really does make or break a burger, right?”

Ferguson said that the portion sizes often results in leftovers.

“I am from New York and I moved down here during the pandemic,” Ferguson said. “Me, grandma, and grandpa, we put a couple of places in a hat and Myrtle Beach was one of my brother’s favorite spots and unfortunately he passed away in 2019 and it just so happened that we picked Myrtle Beach and it was like that was his way of telling us to move down to the beach.”

Ferguson said he worked at The Dirty Armadillo, Crown Reef and the Loco Gecko before opening BEACHED.

“My personal favorite thing to eat here is The Weekender,” he said.

According to the BEACHED menu, The Weekender has “Korean BBQ marinated steak, caramelized onions and melted provolone cheese,” and is served “on a locally made Cuban sub roll.”

Ferguson said he will likely be hiring as school returns.

BEACHED, according to its website, is open everyday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is available for delivery through some food delivery apps such as DoorDash.
