Amy Schumer Clarifies Claim She Was Referring to Tom Holland With Mental Health Joke

"Not shading Spider-Man," the comedian wrote on her Instagram Story earlier this week.

Amy Schumer is clearing the air on comments she made about mental health earlier this week.

Some users online were speculating that the comedian, 41, was poking fun at Tom Holland in a humorous Instagram video she made about mental health on Sunday, as the Uncharted actor had revealed he was taking a break from social media for the sake of his mental health just hours prior.

But the Trainwreck actress, 41, clarified her comments in a follow-up Instagram Story a couple days later, where she claimed she was making fun of herself, not Holland.

"Not shading Spider-Man," Schumer wrote on Tuesday, per TooFab. "Making fun of myself. Of course social media is toxic!"

In her initial post over the weekend, which was sarcastically captioned, "Important mental health announcement," the I Feel Pretty star joked, "I have decided, for my own mental health, to do more social media. I find that looking at my phone for eight and a half hours a day is helping me, and it's helping this pimple patch and this breakout."

"And being in my 40s, it's actually good for me to watch all of Love Island and all of The Bachelors, whether in paradise or just normal mansions. So you'll be seeing a lot more of me on social media, just for my physical and mental wellbeing."

Prior to her clarification, Schumer's post seemed to be a spoof on Holland's recent Instagram announcement, where he told his followers that he's been laying off of social media to focus on his mental health.

"I find Instagram and Twitter to be overstimulating, to be overwhelming. I get caught up and I spiral when I read things about me online," he said in the clip, calling social media "detrimental" to his mental state.

However, the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor, 26, said he posted the video because he wanted to "shine a light" on Stem4, a U.K. based charity dedicated to teen mental health.

He encouraged his followers to share the video with anyone who may need it, and also shared a link where users can make a purchase for donation.

"Love to you all, and let's get talking about mental health ❤️," he concluded the video's caption.
