I attended the Dover East School choir concert for the third graders the other night. What a joy to watch with all the negatives in our country and world right now. So refreshing to see these beautiful voices and hear them sing. It's just a joy. Congratulations to all the students and the music teacher for a fine, beautiful program.

I read in the paper a couple of weeks ago that an individual was cited on Donald Drive for riding a four wheeler. Is there any way we can get some help down here on Lockport Avenue to stop the drag strip? The speed limit is 25 mph, not 45, not 55, and not 65. There are two stop signs that are usually ignored. Somebody is going to get seriously hurt if something isn't done soon. It is and has been out of control.

Now President Biden is asking Congress for $10 billion to send to Ukraine. What is going on with that man? That's crazy. That would fix a lot of roads in the United States. Our infrastructure is crumbling, he says. Put that towards the bridges and roads. Quit helping those people. Everybody needs to mind their own business in this world.

I believe that the problem with so many of the stray cats in our area lies with people. They neglect to get them spayed or neutered. The poor cats don't have any control over this. People, be responsible. Have your animal spayed or neutered.

Just read the article that New Philadelphia is short of crossing guards. One suggestion. Ten to 12 hours a week at $10 an hour is very, very weak. They need to up that to about $15 an hour to get anybody to work.

If America were under attack, would Joe Biden offer weapons to anyone willing to defend it as Ukrainian President Zelensky did? Perhaps our gun ownership rights shouldn't be taken away in the first place.
