So who is Comey's wife?
According to the Daily Press, he married his college sweetheart, Patrice Failor, in 1987. They met in 1978 as freshmen at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia.
WestportNOW reports that when Comey was nominated to be Barack Obama's FBI director in 2013, he said, "Nearly everything I am and have done in my adult life is due to the great good fortune of marrying up."
Failor currently works on juvenile justice issues and sometimes fosters children.
Comey and Failor have six children together. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, they lost one of their children in 1995 when he was only 9 days old after a brief battle with a strep infection.
