Former Snow White wins lottery
Talk about dreams really coming true.
An actress who played Snow White at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., won the $5.2 million jackpot Saturday on the "Make Me a Millionaire" show by the California Lottery.
Natalie Marston, 22, was working as Snow White when she bought a lottery ticket in February. She won $2,000 on the instant scratch-off ticket, but told the Orange County Register that the initial prize didn't affect her decision to quit her Disneyland job about four months ago.
As if becoming a millionaire wasn't enough like a fairy-tale for the former princess, her response in a prepared statement should be on Disneyland advertisements everywhere: "I know I played Snow White, but I feel more like Cinderella," she said.
Marston left her job at Disneyland to pursue an acting career, telling the Register, "It was just something I did to have an income between my acting jobs. I had a great run, a lot of fun and I got to meet great people and adorable kids."
She plans to continue her acting career, and she and her fiance plan to buy a house, travel and hold their September 2010 wedding at a romantic location they wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise.
Maybe they'll get married in a castle. That would be a true Disney ending.
