Man killed, 2 others injured after shooting at North Austin apartment complex

AUSTIN, Texas - A man killed in a shooting at a north Austin apartment complex has been identified, the Austin Police Department said.

Police said on May 9, around 8:07 p.m., officers responded to the Canyon Ridge Apartments, at 12118 Walnut Creek Crossing, for multiple calls of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 27-year-old Isaac Jimenez, dead.

Another man was found in a different building with six gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital.

Later, another call came out at the Whataburger at 9516 North Lamar Boulevard where another person was shot. The man was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

CRIME STORIES

The investigation showed that Jimenez was inside an apartment when he was shot and killed during a disturbance. Detectives are still actively working this incident, and the homicide unit is asking for anyone with any information to come forward.
