News of public record: Guernsey County restaurant inspections

The following are restaurant inspections with critical violations, as conducted by the Guernsey County Health Department from March 11 to 22.

March 13

Dollar General #11101, 205 E. Main St., Byesville. Raw bacon observed stored above milk, dairy creamer, and bottled beverages.

March 18

Par Mar #231, 527 Wheeling Ave., Cambridge. Pallets of bottled beverages were observed stored on the floor in front of the handwashing sink. The handwashing sink in the employee restroom is being used to fill the mop bucket. Employees are not washing, rinsing, and sanitizing coffee pots or Frazil machine components as required. Mop water is being disposed of at the exterior of the facility.

March 22

Workingman's Friend, 324 Dewey Ave., Cambridge. A vinegar container was stored in the handwashing sink in the ware washing area. Ground coffee is pre-portioned onto paper coffee filters and then stored and stacked in cabinetry below the coffee pot. The facility is not sanitizing food-contact surfaces of equipment and/or utensils. Spray paints and other toxic materials stored directly above the three-compartment sink.
