‘Never Have I Ever’ Season 4 Trailer Reveals Release Date and Devi's Hot New Love Interest

So you beat the heat by bingeing season 3 of Never Have I Ever on Netflix. You laughed, you cried, you may have even swooned over Mindy Kaling’s charming teen romance. Now what? Here’s what you need to know about Never Have I Ever season 4.

Is Never Have I Ever coming back for season 4?

Yep! But there’s a catch. The Netflix series has been renewed for a fourth season, but it’s also gonna be the final season, according to Variety. “We can’t wait to reveal all of the steamy romance and hilarious adventures we have in store for you,” Mindy confirmed in a tweet.

When is Never Have I Ever season 4 coming out?

Season 1 hit Netflix in April 2020. Season 2 was July 2021. Season 3 was August 2022. Could season 4 push into fall 2023? It’s safe to assume that we’ll get it then, but the specific month will probably depend on what else Netflix is dishing out next year. (I’ve heard a little show called Stranger Things is ending as well, which might take some time and attention.)

According to Mindy’s Twitter account, the writers’ room was hard at work crafting season 4 in April of 2022.

And then as a special surprise, Netflix dropped a special trailer for the date announcement that features a brand new kind of love square that will definitely have you screaming. With our faves heading into senior year, anything can happen! Thankfully, we won't be waiting too long to find out as it's officially coming out on June 4.

What will season 4 be about?

College applications? Prom? Never Have I Ever kicked off during Devi and her friends’ sophomore year of high school. By season 3, they’re juniors…and Paxton, who Devi is dating at the beginning of season 3, is a senior. The clock is ticking! For more on where we left off in season 3, head right this way:

Who will be in Never Have I Ever season 4?

I can answer this one! Michael Cimino, aka Victor from Love, Victor, has joined the final season in a recurring role. According to the Hollywood Reporter, he will play a sk8r boi named Ethan.

Netflix gave us a little glimpse of how he’ll affect this season, and it looks like he’ll be setting his eyes on Devi. And what about Ben and Paxton? Well, they definitely have some thoughts (or at least their actors do).

Everything else, like whether or not we’ll get another guest narrator in the final season (feels likely!), is up in the air until Netflix dishes out further intel.

Who is Devi going to end up with??

Paxton? Ben? Someone else?! Nobody???? This is the final season, people—it’s now or never! After years of consuming Mindy content, including and especially memorizing the chapter in her book titled “Guys Need to Do Almost Nothing to Be Great” and many episodes of The Mindy Project that detail her red flags, I have become a connoisseur of the Mindy Kaling Type™. I can spot an endgame romantic interest a mile away. Mindy’s characters often fall for the wrong guy first (Jeremy on Mindy Project, Nico in Sex Lives of College Girls) before ultimately getting with the endgame type (Danny on Mindy Project, Tom in Late Night).

Based on my incredibly scientific evidence gathering, I think it’s gonna be Ben. I have nothing against Paxton (or any other Devi love interests), like…at all. I’m not picking a side in the shipping war. I just have a hunch that this is gonna happen. He’s the Type™!

Or, you know, Mindy could acknowledge that for most people, “endgame” doesn’t happen when you’re 17. But that’s way less fun, BOOOOO.
