Netflix's The Killer has an unexpected crossover with Antiques Roadshow
Michael Fassbender's new movie The Killer features an unexpected tribute to the iconic British TV series Antiques Roadshow, with a scene that's set to have audiences talking.
The David Fincher-directed thriller lands on Netflix today (November 10) and follows Fassbender as a trained killer who unleashes hell on his former employers after a failed assassination results in consequences close to home.
Expect blood and a hefty body count, but amid all the murder and moody stares is a moment of light relief, provided by veteran BBC presenter Fiona Bruce.

Audiences see The Killer (Fassbender) seek revenge on The Brute (Sala Baker) in a brutal but epic fight sequence. As the two relentlessly inflict blows in various rooms of The Brute's waterside condo, the soothing tones of Fiona Bruce suddenly come into play, with the camera panning to an episode of the Antiques Roadshow playing on the television.
Bruce's cameo is hardly a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment either, with the camera lingering for several seconds as the presenter delivers her show-opening monologue.
Is this Fincher not so subtly confirming his status as an Antiques Roadshow super-fan?
