'Virgin River' mobile game

Netflix is rolling out an all-new mobile game for Virgin River fans, allowing players to live out their small-town fantasies in a "choose your own adventure"-style game that's free to anyone with a Netflix subscription.

As shown in the trailer (yes, there's a trailer), users choose an avatar, then set them forth to visit places from the show, like Jack's bar, with hand-selected outfits, dates and storylines. It's the "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" for Robyn Carr lovers, and if that sounds like an odd pairing to you, you're not alone.

“Escape to the comfort and beauty of Virgin River to find romance and camaraderie where you least expect it,” the streamer's official description reads. “Stuck in a dead-end job and nursing a broken heart, you know you need to make a change. When fate leads you to Virgin River, what starts as a short trip blossoms into much more. Interact with your favorite characters and make choices that help you discover what’s been missing in your life: community, fulfillment and, ultimately, true love.”

The game, Netflix Stories: Virgin River, will launch May 29 (no in-app purchases necessary). Meantime, the show has yet to announce a Season 6 release date since its fifth season wrapped with a two-part Christmas special in November. What sort of game is that, Netflix?!
