Netflix Thriller ‘Hypnotic’ In the Works With Kate Siegel, Jason O’Mara and Dulé Hill (EXCLUSIVE)

Kate Siegel, Jason O’Mara and Dulé Hill have been set to star in “Hypnotic,” an upcoming horror film at Netflix.

The thriller centers on a young woman seeking self-improvement, who enlists the help of a renowned hypnotist. But after a handful of intense sessions, she soon discovers unexpected and deadly consequences.

Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote, who previously teamed on the Netflix horror film “The Open House,” will direct “Hypnotic.” Richard D’Ovidio (“The Call,” “The Forger”) is penning the script with Angel and Coote.

It is unclear when “Hypnotic” will be released on the streaming service.

The Netflix project has no relation to another film that is titled “Hypnotic,” which is currently in development with actor Ben Affleck and director Robert Rodriguez. That movie, an action thriller, has been backed by Solstice Studios and Studio 8.

Siegel most recently appeared in “The Haunting of Bly Manor” and “The Haunting of Hill House.” A horror maven of sorts, Siegel’s credits also include “Hush” and “Ouiji: Origin of Evil.” O’Mara has starred in “The Man in the High Castle” and “The Good Wife.” Hill, best known for “Psych” and “The West Wing,” is a familiar face to fans of “Suits,” “Doubt” and “Ballers.”

Michael Luisi will produce for The Long Game. His producing credits include “Fighting With My Family,” “The Call” and “Buddy Games.”

Ralph Portillo will serve as executive producer for Hemisphere Entertainment. Siegel is represented by ICM, Stride and VanderKloot Law. O’Mara is represented by UTA and Untitled Entertainment. Angel and Coote are represented by UTA, Good Fear, and attorney Myman Greenspan Fox Rosenberg Mobasser Younger & Light LLP.
