Those looking to move into a low-maintenance housing community can now look to Riverlights as an option. The up-and-coming 1,400 acre master-planned Riverlights community has announced Pulte Homes as the builder of its new neighborhood, The Haven. The new neighborhood will consist of 151 low-maintenance homes, with lawn-care included.

According to the press release, The Haven will feature ranch-style homes with Coastal Craftsman architecture. Buyers can expect to choose from seven different floor plans with two-, three- and four- bedroom options.

Each home will have a two-car garage and will range from 1,345 to 2,838 square feet with options to include outdoor entertainment areas, a flex space and a second-floor loft-style bedroom. Neighborhood amenities will include pickleball courts, a fitness facility, a clubhouse and a pool.

“Pulte Homes is excited to expand into the award winning Riverlights community with our consumer-inspired ranch floor plans,” said David Carrier, division president of PulteGroup Wilmington, in a press release. “With our Riverlights’ Del Webb community completely selling out this year and Pulte’s strong single-family home demand, we see the need for low-maintenance single-story living in an amenity-rich community, such as Riverlights. We are confident The Haven will fill an important need for Wilmington’s real estate market.”

Riverlights, owned by Brookfield Properties, already has a variety of neighborhoods in the works along the Cape Fear River including The Cottages at Riverlights, a build-for-rent community, Argento, an apartment community and Del Webb, an active senior community.

To address traffic concerns of some residents, the master-planned community has agreed to work with the city to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Independence Boulevard and River Road, in addition to its many projects.
