The NCAA Men’s Final Four is coming back to Arlington’s AT&T Stadium

Arlington’s AT&T Stadium has scored another major gig: the 2030 NCAA men’s Final Four.

This will be the second time that the stadium plays host to the NCAA’s premiere collegiate men’s basketball tournament. In 2014, it netted Final Four attendance records drawing 79,444 fans to the national semifinals and 79,238 more to the championship game, according to the NCAA.

“These communities should be proud of the leadership displayed by everyone involved with making these bids and ultimately earning the privilege to host an event of this magnitude. Both will be great locations at which to play the Final Four,” said Chris Reynolds, athletics director at Bradley and the chair of the committee.

It will be the third Men’s Final Four in the region; Dallas hosted it in 1986.

“We are honored to be selected to host the 2030 NCAA Men’s Final Four,” Arlington Mayor Jim Ross said in a statement. “We are delighted the NCAA has not only chosen to come back to North Texas for a third time, but to Arlington and AT&T Stadium for a second time in less than 20 years. This is a huge win for our City, and we look forward to welcoming these talented athletes to Arlington.”

Arlington, Dallas, Denton and Fort Worth are no strangers to March Madness — having hosted men’s preliminary rounds on 20 occasions. Dallas is set to host the 2023 Women’s Final Four and the 2024 men’s South Regional.

The news comes a day after Dallas was awarded the 2031 women’s Final Four.

“We are thrilled that the NCAA has chosen North Texas as host of the 2030 Men’s Final Four,” Monica Paul, the executive director of the Dallas Sports Commission, said in a statement. “As we like to say, everything is bigger here in Texas. And when it comes to college basketball, nothing is bigger than the Final Four. Having been selected as a host for the 2031 Women’s Final Four yesterday, today’s announcement further solidifies Dallas as a proud partner to elite basketball and premier experiences.”
