Thousands in NC still without power Wednesday morning. Track outages across Triangle

Tens of thousands of customers remain without power Wednesday morning — with over 2,000 in Wake County and over 6,000 in Durham County — as a January storm brought rain and heavy wind across North Carolina.

N,C. Emergency Management said power outages across the state totaled more than 66,646 as of 8:30 a.m.

We’re tracking outages from power companies in the Triangle and beyond from Duke Energy and other utility groups.

Remember: Stay away from power lines that have fallen or are sagging, Duke Energy says. Consider all lines energized, as well as trees, limbs or anything in contact with lines.
