NBA World Reacts To Thursday’s Ben Simmons News

It seems like a new report involving Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons surfaces every day. On Thursday, ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowksi had a telling update on the All-Star point guard’s situation in Philly.

Wojnarowski announced that Simmons arrived and departed from the 76ers’ practice facility this Thursday without taking part in a scheduled individual workout. As a result, his status for this Friday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets is unclear.

Simmons reportedly told the staff that he couldn’t participate this afternoon due to back tightness, albeit there are plenty of fans who aren’t buying that.

There have been so many changes to Simmons’ status in Philly that some NBA fans are starting to get tired of this act.

“This is turning into idiocy,” Paul Zeise of 93.7 The Fan said. “The guy needs to grow up. And while he is at it work on his game. He is the same player now as he was as as senior in high school.”

“Simmons is gonna keep fumbling the bag because facing the media and the fans isn’t something he is strong enough to do,” Tyrone Johnson of 97.5 The Fanatic said.

On the flip side, there are some fans who are enjoying this drama-filled situation.

“I need to see at least one game with Ben in attendance and/or playing just for the awkwardness,” Chris Hagan of FOX8NOLA said.

“Nah this is hilarious,” an NBA fan tweeted.

At this point, the best-case scenario for both sides is that Simmons gets traded for another impact player. Until that happens, though, rumors will continue to emerge about the former No. 1 overall pick.
