NBA World Reacts To Significant Frank Vogel News
Although the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz on Monday night, it sounds like Frank Vogel will be coaching for his job the rest of this season.
According to The Athletic’s Bill Oram and Sam Amick, Vogel’s job is in “serious jeopardy.” If progress isn’t made over the next few weeks, Vogel could end up losing his job.
Vogel led the Lakers to a title during the 2019-20 season, but the past year and a half has been underwhelming.
The report also states that Vogel will be evaluated on a game-to-game basis. This seems unfair, but the Lakers are obviously not pleased with their results thus far.

Unsurprisingly, the NBA world doesn’t agree with the Lakers’ thought process here.
“Whatever happens to Frank Vogel should happen to Rob Pelinka. There are definitely valid criticisms of Vogel’s performance as coach of the Lakers, but Rob Pelinka inarguably has done a worse job as general manager of the Lakers. If one goes, the other has to go,” Sam Quinn of CBS Sports said.

Lakers fans aren’t so sure firing Vogel would save the season.
“He hasn’t been the most ideal coach for this year’s Lakers but there’s no reason to fire him this late in the season,” one fan said.

“Totally unfair man. They don’t play defense and have minimal guard play and Russell Westbrook has been a mess but sure let’s blame Vogel,” another fan said.

The Lakers will be back in action on Wednesday night against the Pacers.
With his job on the line, we’ll see if Vogel can lead the Lakers to a winning streak.
