NBA player props: Bam kicks the Heat up a notch against the Sixers in Game 2

The Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks will look to avoid falling into 0-2 holes tonight in their respective series against the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns. Here are four player props I'm targeting on BetMGM for these two games:

Gabe Vincent over 1.5 three-pointers made (-155)

Vincent will once again draw the start at point guard tonight with Kyle Lowrymissing his fourth consecutive game due to a hamstring injury. In 22 games without Lowry this season, Vincent averaged 30.3 minutes, 6.2 three-point attempts, and 2.5 made threes per game.

The Sixers focused their Game 1 defensive efforts inside the three-point line. It kept Jimmy Butler and the Heat’s mid-range game in check, but at the expense of allowing a bevy of open looks from downtown. Miami didn’t convert many of those chances, with only P.J. Tucker and Tyler Herro shooting better than 25% on the night.

Vincent made just one of his seven three-point attempts, which is unusual for a player who converted 36.8% of his three-point shots this season. I’m betting that he’ll continue to get good looks and will knock down at least two of those opportunities tonight.

Bam Adebayo to record a double-double (-135)

Philly’s centers contained Adebayo with the effectiveness of a wet paper bag in Game 1. As Doc Rivers hilariously doubles down on starting DeAndre Jordan, Joel Embiid can not return quickly enough to this lineup. The Heat will continue to hunt Jordan in the pick-and-roll for as long as he’s on the court, resulting in easy scoring opportunities for Adebayo.

The Sixers don’t have many 5’s with downtown range, so Adebayo should be playing closer to the rim, which is obviously better for rebounding opportunities. Look for him to record his second straight double-double against Philly’s undersized mix of Paul Reed, Charles Bassey, Paul Millsap, and Georges Niang.

Tobias Harris first player to record a block (+750)

Miami logged the fewest blocks of any NBA team this season and the lengthy Harris will again be tasked with defending the Heat’s best scorers. That translates to more opportunities for blocks for Harris, who recorded the first swat of Game 1.

Mikal Bridges over 1.5 steals + blocks (-140)

The Defensive Player of the Year finalist played more minutes than anyone else this season, gluing himself to the court like a Glen Taylor protestor. His wingspan, bounce, and instincts make him an absolute game-wrecker on defense. Bridges went over this number in all four of his games against the Mavericks this year.
