The nation's best indoor water parks include Timber Ridge Lodge, Kalahari and Great Wolf

Wisconsinites have some top-tier choices when it comes to indoor water parks.

That's according to USA Today's latest 10Best Readers' Choice Awards, in which Lake Geneva's Timber Ridge Lodge was voted the country's eighth best indoor water park. The Kalahari resort, which has a location in Wisconsin Dells, was voted the best indoor water park, and Great Wolf Lodge, with locations in Wisconsin Dells and just over the border in Gurnee, Illinois, was voted fifth best.

Each week, a panel of industry experts nominates their favorite attractions in a variety of categories for the 10Best awards. From there, editors choose nominations to go before readers, who have four weeks to vote for their favorites.

Although the Kalahari and Great Wolf are chains with multiple locations across the country, Timber Ridge is local to Lake Geneva. According to the Timber Ridge Lodge website, the Moose Mountain Falls water park there has 35-foot-high waterpark slides, a lazy river, an activity pool with a basketball court and rope climb, a hot tub, and a pool area for young children with smaller slides and water spouts. Cabanas can also be rented at the water park.

Timber Ridge Lodge is at 7020 Grand Geneva Way, Lake Geneva.

The Kalahari is at 1305 Kalahari Drive, Baraboo.

Great Wolf Lodge is at 1400 Great Wolf Drive, Baraboo, and 1700 Nations Drive, Gurnee, Illinois.
