Nathan Fillion Has an Uncanny Tom Selleck Impression

Nathan Fillion

Nathan Fillion had fun at home amid the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, giving fans the perfect Tom Selleck impression despite remaining silent the whole time.

On Oct. 6, The Rookie star shared a video on Instagram, where he gave a closer look at his mustache while acting out three impressions of iconic mustachioed characters.

The first impression was of Selleck—specifically from the Magnum P.I. era— transforming into the iconic actor by gently scrunching his face and turning to the side, giving the camera his best smolder.

Fillion then shifted to a sillier character, embodying the classic "Nose and Glasses" diguise by simply getting up close to the camera.

For his final impression, he poured baby powder on the sides of his hair and put on a stern expression, transforming himself into superhero Omni-Man.

He joked in the clip's caption, "In hopeful anticipation of an amicable end to the strike, I am practicing my acting. This comes to you absolutely free. Please… enjoy. #wgastrike #sagstrike."

Kyle MacLachlan appeared in the comments, quipping, "Bravo! Need to know where you studied…?"

Meanwhile, Fillion's former Firefly co-star Jewel Staite jokingly expressed concern, writing, "Oh lord."

Despite the video being a joke about life at home during the strike, fans loved it and gushed over how uncanny the Selleck impression was.

"Why is the Tom Selleck one so accurate???" someone wrote.

Another fan shared, "You nailed all three impressions. I think your Tom Selleck is the best one 🔥❤️."

A different fan added, "Tom Selleck was spot on 10/10."

Perhaps Fillion has unwittingly locked in his next role?
