There’s no official dress code for attending the premiere of your superhero debut, but Natalie Portman somehow managed to perfect it. The actress, who portrays the first woman Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder, attended the movie’s London premiere in a regal red minidress and matching flower crown, effortlessly capturing both the power and femininity that her character, Mighty Thor, represents.

The Dior minidress was strapless and flirty—its crinkled, yet structured skirt mimicked the texture of the flower petals in her hair. Portman’s glam squad paired the look with red strappy heels, a pinkish purple smokey eye, and of course, a bold red lip. Photos from the event, which took place on Tuesday, picture Portman posing alongside cast mates Tessa Thompson and Pom Klementieff. Her co-star and the titular Thor, Chris Hemsworth, however, was not in attendance, per People.

Portman’s transformation into Mighty Thor was quick to pique the interest of fans, as the then 40-year-old endured intense training to bulk up for the world-saving role. When movie trailers released, online discourse oohed and ahhed over her toned legs, arms, and broad shoulders. And although Portman admitted to USA Today that “movie magic” gave her some help where she needed it, the task to develop muscle was a jarring first for her as an actress.

“On Black Swan, I was asked to get as small as possible,” she recently recalled to Variety. “Here, I was asked to get as big as possible. That’s an amazing challenge—and also state of mind as a woman.”

She continued: “To have this reaction and be seen as big, you realize, ‘Oh, this must be so different, to walk through the world like this. When you’re small—and also, I think, because I started [acting] as a kid—a lot of times I feel young or little or, like, a pat-on-the-head kind of person. And I present myself that way, too, because of that.”

But she had to admit, the real strength and momentum she garnered from her film prep was invigorating, especially given her age. “It was really such a gift to get to have that at that time in my life,” she told USA Today. “I [felt] like, ‘Oh, my God. I’m old.’ Now I actually feel like the best in my body that I’ve ever felt, and the most strong and the most balanced and least in pain.”
