NASCAR announced on Wednesday a new seven-year television rights deal that involves four different network partners in every season. Beginning in 2025, the deal will stretch the Cup Series season over Fox, Amazon Prime, TNT, and NBC.

The unique arrangement will start with 14 races split between Fox and the cable affiliate Fox Sports 1, then five races on Amazon Prime's streaming service, five on the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned TNT network, and 14 more split between NBC and its cable channel USA. Fox and NBC are current broadcast partners, while TNT is returning after a hiatus dating back to 2014 and Amazon Prime is stepping into streaming NASCAR for the first time ever.

Combined with a previously announced plan to move Xfinity Series support race broadcasts to the CW, the Sports Business Journal reports that NASCAR's new TV deals total $7.7 billion over 7 years. That is a substantial 40 percent increase over NASCAR's current arrangement, although the total guaranteed cash over the seven years is slightly smaller than the $8.2 billion from a pair of 10-year deals signed back in 2013.

In a world where media companies are more focused on their newer streaming products than their older cable television networks, the series has done well to increase that number while still keeping all but five of its broadcasts on more traditional channels. On the other hand, the sport will become less accessible as just nine Cup Series races a year will be broadcast on traditional over-the-air television channels Fox and NBC. This past season, NBC alone aired 10 of its 20 races on its free, marquee channel.

The new broadcast deal stretches through 2031.
