NASCAR’s 2023 schedule was unveiled Wednesday, and Kansas Speedway will continue to play host to two race weekends next year.

The release of NASCAR’s slate of races for next season comes several days after Bubba Wallace took the checkered flag for the Hollywood Casino 400 at the track in Kansas City, Kan.

NASCAR weekends for 2023 will again fall in May and September — May 6-7, with the NASCAR Cup Series’ AdventHealth 400 wrapping things up on Sunday, May 7, and Sept. 8-10, headlined by the Hollywood Casino 400 on Sunday, Sept. 10.

The Hollywood Casino 400 will again be the next-to-last race of the NASCAR Cup playoffs’ late-summer/early-fall Round of 16. Earlier in the Sept. 8-10 weekend, races will feature the Craftsman Trucks, Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series.

The May schedule is set to include a Craftsman Trucks race and an ARCA event.

Since opening in 2001, the asphalt motorsports oval at the intersection of Interstates 70 and 435 has annually played host to two NASCAR weekends, as well as 200 or so other events throughout the year.

“We can’t wait to welcome our fans back for two great weekends in 2023,” Kansas Speedway president Pat Warren said in a news release. “The improvements we made to the fan experience this year will be even bigger and better next year, and we know the racing will once again provide them with a lifetime full of memories.”
