Naked California man allegedly swam in Bel Air pool, then killed homeowner’s parakeets

In a chilling encounter captured entirely on Ring cameras, a naked intruder made himself at home in a Bel Air house, going for a swim, checking the mail and then, finally, strangling the family’s parakeets.

From inside the house, Monica Sabz called her husband Mat to tell him there was someone else there.

The footage shows Mat Sabz walk out of the second-floor bedroom and come face-to-face with the intruder, later identified as 34-year-old Paul Kiyan.

“Hey! What are you doing?” Sabz shouted.

“This is my house,” Kiyan responded calmly. “What are you doing here? I’m going to call the police right now.”

Other footage shows a naked Kiyan climbing into and out of the Sabzes’ pool, then nosing around the house in a pair of Sabz’s shorts.

Private security eventually showed up and detained Kiyan until police arrived, but not before he allegedly killed two of the family’s parakeets.

“I saw what he did to them,” Sabz told KTLA. “Like a serial killer, he said ‘Hi birdies,’ with a smile and put his hands in the cage and squeezed them, and then dropped them on the floor violently and then started stomping on them.”

Kiyan is being held on a $50,000 bail, according to online jail records, but charges are still pending.
