This Myrtle Beach hot spot getting new owner and sports bar. Here’s what we know.

Two things are certain about the future of THEBlvd, a downtown Myrtle Beach high rise home to venues including Tin Roof - one of the the only live music spots on the ocean.

It’s soon going to be in the hands of a new owner and a sports bar is opening there soon.

The 1410 N. Ocean Boulevard building is in escrow following an auction that started on Halloween, according to a listing on the online real estate exchange Ten-X.

Starting bids were $5.75 million for 43,503 square feet of rental space.

Rusty Helm, an agent with Myrtle Beach-based Keystone Commercial Realty, told The Sun News Nov. 14 details of the transaction are still being finalized ahead of announcing the property’s new ownership team.

The site opened to great acclaim in 2018, quickly establishing itself as a big player in the city’s nightlife with trendy offerings including Bandito’s Cantina and a Starbucks.

Legends Sports Pub and Grille — an eatery and hub for Ohio State fans — is expected to open in the coming months.

It didn’t take long for legal problems to find THEBLvd. Current owner Chalpin Realty LLC, which bought the building for $20 million, said in a 2020 lawsuit that previous tenants inflated the building’s value.
