Myrtle Beach is getting a new kind of Dunkin’. There’s only one other like it in SC

Dunkin’ has opened its second drive-through only concept in Horry County, expanding its overall footprint in the market to 20 stores.

The restaurant at 1937 Mr. Joe White Ave. in Myrtle Beach began serving customers on Nov. 28 with its On-The-Go model that boasts a double drive-through and walk-up window but no dining room.

The site is being managed by Carolina Restaurant Partners, a Myrtle Beach-based franchisee network that operates a dozen Dunkin’ stores between Wilmington, N.C. and Charleston.

“We have observed a shift in our guests’ behavior in recent years, with more utilizing our drive-thrus and online ordering,” company president Dave Staley said in a statement.

Dunkin’ opened South Carolina’s first On-The-Go store in Conway in April.

Contact-less ordering has boomed since 2020 as restaurants were forced to change operations during the pandemic.

A TD Bank survey from October of that year found that 72% of the 250 restaurant franchise owners questioned said developing new delivery and mobile ordering options was a top priority, while 38% added more drive-through capacity.

County property records show the 2,235-square-foot building was transferred from Mancini LLC to Greylock Real Estate Partners for $500,000 in June 2021.

Greylock is registered to prominent Myrtle Beach attorney Robert “Shep” Guyton, according to information on file with the S.C. Secretary of State’s office.

Dunkin’ has 20 locations across Conway, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.
