Music from Fleetwood Mac to fill Weill Center with tribute band performance this weekend

SHEBOYGAN — This weekend, music by Fleetwood Mac will be brought to Sheboygan by tribute band Tusk for a one-day-only performance at the Stefanie H. Weill Center.

Tusk, proclaimed the world’s No. 1 tribute to Fleetwood Mac, will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 27 at the Weill Center.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with tickets ranging from $39 to $59 plus fees.

While Tusk has been touring the United States since 2008, the members’ histories span decades before that, according to the Weill Center introduction to the band.

Two of the founding members met playing Little League baseball together while the other two met in middle school band, continuing to play together in high school.

Through alternative rock groups, jam bands, original bands and more, all five current members of Tusk have been playing together for years.

“Time, trust, and close friendship have cultivated an intimate familiarity with each other’s musical nuances, shaping each performance with such precision that even the slightest variation, virtually imperceptible to all but the five musicians sharing the stage, is met with a wink and a nod, and usually an inside joke,” the introduction said.

This experience and comradery are what sets Tusk apart from other Fleetwood Mac tribute bands.

The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased by calling 920-208-3243, going to the box office at 826 N. Eighth St., or on the Weill Center website.
