Mudslide closes southbound Interstate 5 at the Grapevine late Saturday. Here’s the latest
Drivers hoping to get to Southern California before midnight through the Grapevine may have to make an alternate route.
Southbound Interstate 5 will close at 10 p.m. Saturday. It’s expected to reopen at 8 a.m. Sunday, the California Highway Patrol said. The closure is because of a mudslide.
The closure will begin from Vista Del Lago Road to Templin Highway.
Drivers can take a detour on Highways 138 and 14.
The closure will continue at 10 p.m. Sunday, the California Highway Patrol said.
Northbound lanes will remain open.
