How much did gas prices drop in Florida? Where can you find the cheapest? Take a look

Let’s all go for a drive.

You may be saying that more often as gas prices continue to drop in Florida. Some stations in Broward County are flashing gas prices of less than $3 a gallon.

Over the past week in the Miami area, prices at the pump have dropped more than 10 cents to average $3.20 a gallon on Monday, according to GasBuddy, the fuel monitor that conducts surveys of about 1,700 stations.

“The relief is saving Americans roughly $20 per fill-up compared to six months ago,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.

De Haan said the trend continues to point to a national average falling below $3 by Christmas.

But you may have to look around to get the best price. That’s because GasBuddy reports the cheapest station in Miami was $2.83 a gallon while the most expensive was $4.49. A Race Trac station in Hollywood near Florida’s Turnpike was selling gas for $2.99 a gallon on Sunday, but at least one of the pumps offered only higher grades of gas at more than $3.20 a gallon.

Across Florida, the average price per gallon was $3.14 a gallon and the national average $3.26, according to AAA.
