'Mr. Irrelevant' Brock Purdy marries in Des Moines over the weekend

NFL and former Iowa State University star quarterback Brock Purdy got married in Des Moines on Saturday to his girlfriend, Jenna Brandt, according to reports from TMZ.

Purdy and Brandt first met when they were students at Iowa State, the Register previously reported, and got engaged in July 2023.

Purdy played college football at Iowa State and was selected by the 49ers as the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, dubbing him Mr. Irrelevant. He became the 49ers starting quarterback during the 2022-23 season and led the 49ers to the NFC Championship game, when he suffered a completely torn UCL, a ligament in the elbow.

This past season, he led the 49ers to the Feb. 11 Super Bowl, falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime.

At Iowa State, Purdy broke into the lineup as a freshman and racked up the most wins of any quarterback in Iowa State history, leading the program to a 30-17 record. He was the first Cyclones quarterback to start four bowl games.

According to TMZ, there were upward of 350 guests in attendance.
