The Motherwell players past & present dreaming of Euros selection

Motherwell's Blair Spittal, Lennon Miller and Liam Kelly - plus former Fir Park right-back Max Johnston - have each received one vote from the BBC pundits choosing their preferred Scotland squad for the Euros.

The quartet will find out their fate on Wednesday when Steve Clarke's 28-man Scotland party is announced, with two unlucky players set to drop out before the tournament.

Kelly has been a squad regular for Clarke - and made his Scotland debut in October's 4-1 friendly loss to France - but has endured a difficult season at club level.

Michael Stewart has included Kelly among his four goalkeepers, and also opted for Hearts-bound Spittal, a standout for the Steelmen but who has never been called up by Scotland before.

Of all the pundits' selections, arguably the biggest wildcard is Peter Grant's inclusion of Miller. Still just 17, the midfielder won Motherwell's young player of the year at the weekend and was named on the Scottish Football Writers' Association shortlist.

Finally, Johnston is the answer to Scotland's right-back conundrum, according to Leanne Crichton. The 20-year-old has helped Sturm Graz to a league and cup double in his debut season in Austria and could be in line for a Scotland debut at a major tournament.
