Mossimo Giannulli, Lori Loughlin’s husband, gets out of home confinement 1 day early

He’s fashionably early.

Fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, husband of actress Lori Loughlin, ended his home confinement Friday, one day before his sentence was scheduled to finish.

Giannulli and Loughlin pleaded guilty in May 2020 to paying $500,000 to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as rowing recruits, even though the young women did not row.

The 57-year-old fashion guru was sentenced to five months in the clink and began his time in November. He was released April 3 and allowed to serve the final two weeks of his sentence in home confinement.

Giannulli was supposed to be a free man beginning Saturday but federal law allows prisoners walk free on Friday if their scheduled release date falls on a Saturday or Sunday. Giannulli exercised that right, TMZ reported.

Loughlin was released from prison in December after serving almost two months. Unlike fellow Operation Varsity Blues schemer and actress Felicity Huffman, Loughlin and Giannulli fought the FBI’s accusations before later rolling.
