Morning Live star Dr Xand van Tulleken and his wife Dolly have welcomed a baby boy, and revealed his sweet name.

The couple have named their child Rex Patrick Anthony van Hoogenhouck-Tulleken, with the happy news having been announced by Morning Live's official Instagram account.

Sharing a snap of Xand, Dolly and the little one in hospital, the post was captioned: "Congratulations to Dr Xand and his wife Dolly on the birth of their baby boy, with arguably the best name ever, Rex Patrick Anthony van Hoogenhouck-Tulleken. The Morning Live family has become even bigger and we can't wait to meet him!"

Dr Xand also shared the news via his own Instagram Story with a similar hospital photo, captioning it: "Our son. Born on Earth Day. Everyone well and happy! So proud of my amazing wife".

Meanwhile, the baby news was announced to viewers during today's (April 23) instalment of Morning Live, with host Helen Skelton excitedly sharing (via Daily Mail): "We've got to jump in as we know we like to start the day with happy, happy news.

"If you were watching yesterday you might have noticed there was an absentee at our breakfast bar. Often on a Monday we are joined by Dr Xand but he wasn't here for a very good reason, he was alongside his lovely wife Dolly as they welcomed their son. Baby Rex is here!"

"Named after his grandfathers. All doing really, really well," Gethin Jones added.

Dr Xand and Dolly got engaged in 2022 before officially tying the knot last year. While Rex is the couple's first child together, Dr Xand also has a son named Julian from his previous relationship.
