Morgan Wallen Says He Has 'Made Amends' in First Public Statement Since His Arrest

Morgan Wallen has finally spoken out about his latest run-in with the law.

The country music star took to social media on Friday, April 19, to address his recent legal scandal after being arrested in Nashville for allegedly throwing a chair from the roof of a six-story bar.

Nearly two weeks after the April 7 incident, Wallen wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, "I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks."

He assured fans that he has "touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at [the Nashville bar] Chief's."

"I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility," he added.

Wallen was arrested and booked on three counts of reckless endangerment, as well as one count of disorderly conduct, as a result of the Nashville incident. He posted the $15,250 bond hours later and was released from Davidson County Jail around 3:30 a.m.

He is due in court in Nashville on Friday, May 3.

While owning up to his latest transgression, the "Sand in My Boots" crooner also took the opportunity to update his fans on how the situation will impact his "One Night at a Time" Tour, which will resume in Oxford, Miss., this weekend.

"I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe," he wrote in a follow-up tweet on Friday before noting, "Regarding my tour, there will be no change."

Wallen will put on the rest of his shows as scheduled, including the concert on Saturday, April 20, at the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford.

He will also to perform later this month at the Stagecoach music festival in Indio, Calif., on Sunday, April 28.
