National Weather Service Fort Worth

North Texans can expect more rain to finish out Thanksgiving week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Miles Langfeld, a spokesperson for the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, said Friday will be a dreary day with the possibility of showers.

Heavy rain is expected to start after midnight and continue through Saturday morning, with 1 to 2 inches likely across Fort Worth and Dallas, Langfeld said.

The National Weather Service map shows that the heaviest rainfall is expected along and to the east of Interstate 35.

According to Langfeld, there’s no severe weather anticipated with the rain and only a low probability of street flooding.

The rain will start moving out Saturday afternoon.
