It’s good to have a list of criteria before starting a new job search, which could include a target salary, benefits and location. For some, the words “work from home” could be in bold letters at the top of the list.

Working from home has become more common. According to Forbes, in 2023, 12.7% of U.S. employees worked completely from home, while about 28% worked in a hybrid setting. By 2025, Forbes reports 32.6 million Americans are expected to work from home.

Remote work can provide comfort and flexibility office settings may not be able to provide, even if it is just for a couple days each week. So if you are looking to get out of the office this year, there are some Kansas state government job opportunities you may want to look into.
