Moorestown man, 73, accused of killing his wife

MOORESTOWN — A 73-year-old man is accused of strangling his wife here.

Gerard Slavin allegedly killed Linda Slavin, also 73, at the couple's home in the Moorestown Woods apartment complex, said the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.

An investigation began shortly before 3 p.m. Monday when police were called the East Camden Avenue complex.

Linda Slavin's body was found in a bedroom of the couple's home.

Gerard Slavin was arrested without incident.

He is charged with murder and aggravated assault-strangulation. The charges are only allegations. Slavin has not been convicted in the case.

He was being held in Burlington County Jail, pending a detention hearing.
