Monroe, SMCC go down to final hours in Athlete of the Week voting

It has developed into a Monroe High vs. St. Mary Catholic Central duel in voting for Athlete of the Week for April 29-May 5.

With less than 12 hours left to vote, Monroe soccer player Aubrey Cowan’s 299 votes gave her a slight lead over SMCC softball player Olivia Piepsney with 263.

Ida baseball player Owen Snyder is third with 178.

Polls will remain open until 11:59 p.m. tonight.
