Monday's highlights

LAKE CENTER BASEBALL REPEATS Nathan Bryant threw a five-inning no-hitter as Lake Center Christian blanked visiting Warren JFK 13-0 on Monday, clinching the Portage Trail Conference championship for a second straight season. The Tigers, who win this year's title outright after sharing last year’s, improve to 20-1 overall and 9-0 in the PTC. They'll try to complete a perfect run through the league when they go to JFK (14-5, 7-2) on Tuesday. Bryant struck out eight batters in moving to 6-1 on the season. Luke Heckert went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored to lead Lake Center's 13-hit effort at the plate.
