This past year, we upgraded from a queen-size bed to a king, and with that, came the search for a perfectly cozy quilt. My husband and I are not duvet people. Living in Texas, it’s hot most of the year, and on those cold nights, we prefer to layer up with blankets for a more customizable warmth. As the name implies, the hand-crafted set is made of a blend of fine European linen and cotton and is Standard 100 Okeo-Tex Certified, meaning it’s free of harmful chemicals. The fabric is breathable enough that I stay cool in the summer but surprisingly heavy enough that we have yet needed to layer on blankets this winter.
A modern take on a quilt, the set’s pick-stitch design takes the classic quilting technique and pairs it with on-trend, earth tone colors (Natural, White, Terracotta, and Olive). I purchased our quilt in Natural for a neutral base since I find it hard to commit to a bold color, especially for a piece of bedding I want to last for years. So far, it’s served as a solid base to build off of, with throw pillows and blankets in a variety of hues.
The quilt set comes in three sizes to fit every bed—Twin, Full/Queen, or King/California King). What I love most about this set is that it withstands spills and spit-ups with easy clean-up—I just throw it in the wash in a gentle cycle with cold water and tumble dry. Even with regular washes, I have yet to have a single stitch come loose.
