“Baby hack!” a caption at the start of the video reads. “How to help a teething baby with a pacifier.”

In the video, Kate demonstrates exactly how she executes her brilliantly simple hack. She starts by grabbing a pacifier and dipping it in a small jar of fruit puree (milk or water work too, according to Kate). In a caption, she instructs parents to “Dip [the pacifier] in liquid of choice and place in [the] freezer to chill for 30 minutes.”

Next, Kate places the pacifier in a small plastic container and places it in the freezer. Once the pacifier is nice and cool, it’s ready for a teething baby.

The video ends with Kate standing in front of the camera wearing a black and white checkered dress, a big smile on her face. She removes the pacifier from its container and shows that it is now coated in a thin layer of frozen fruit puree. “An extra soothing pacifier,” a caption reads.

Viewers expressed their gratitude for the nifty tip and shared their own teething hacks.

“Frozen fruit in a mesh pacifier works great and gives your little one a treat. My daughter loves it [and] I’ve even done [it using] veggies,” one viewer wrote.

“I used to freeze apple juice in an ice cube tray and wrap it in a clean cloth. Old school,” wrote another TikToker.

“I would put it inside the pacifier so it’s hard to chew and also helps their gums,” another TikToker suggested.

Yet another thankful TikToker commented, “I always put [pacifiers] in the freezer by themselves, but love this new trick! Will definitely use.”

There are tons of useful teething hacks out there for parents to try. If your child has been struggling with teething, it might be worth giving Kate’s hack a shot!
